Tinder redesigns profile pages with prompts, info tags and quiz

Tinder is overhauling its profile pages to enhance user information and facilitate more seamless conversation starters. The company is introducing features like profile prompts, acting as conversation initiators, profile quizzes, basic info tags, and a dark mode.

Diving into these innovations, the app, owned by the Match Group, is introducing profile prompts, allowing users to display prompts and responses such as “The key to my heart is,” “The first item on my bucket list is,” and “Two truths and a lie.” This might ring a bell, as Hinge, another property of Match, employs similar prompts.

Users can now fashion a quiz about themselves, enabling potential matches to gain insights. The question-and-answer mechanism to foster connections is not unique to Tinder; apps like Hatched utilize this method by having users respond to personality-related questions.

Additionally, Tinder is incorporating a feature for users to share fundamental information using profile tags, covering interests, pets, drinking preferences, and zodiac signs. Bumble, Tinder’s competitor, already offers a similar feature for users to divulge details through tags.

While Tinder introduces new features and sections to profiles, the company emphasizes the option to report specific content within these sections. Simultaneously, Tinder is implementing updates in various aspects of the app, including changes in the user interface, new animations (such as the “It’s a Match!” screen), and the introduction of a dark mode setting.

In a recent development, Tinder introduced a feature allowing friends to play matchmakers by perusing and suggesting potential matches.
