Instagram has unveiled a new feature enabling users to craft personalized “Add Yours” templates incorporating GIFs, images, and text, empowering them to craft unique and shareable Stories for their followers.
To construct an Add Yours template, initiate the Story upload process and incorporate elements such as GIFs, custom text, or gallery images. Subsequently, employ the “Add Yours Templates” sticker, choosing specific elements for pinning. While those sharing the template cannot alter your selections, they can contribute additional content.
This global rollout of the feature commences today.
These customizable templates complement the interactive Add Yours sticker, introduced in 2021, allowing users to respond to prompts from others on their Stories. Now, individuals can infuse their own creativity into existing Add Yours prompts, fostering collaborative expression. In a parallel move, Instagram introduced a “template browser” for Reels in July, enabling users to discover and customize pre-made templates for their videos.
In recent updates, the platform also launched its generative AI-powered background editing tool in the U.S., providing users with the capability to alter their backgrounds based on prompts.
Instagram has additionally introduced the ‘Add Yours’ sticker in Stories, facilitating the creation of threaded discussions for user responses.
