Revolutionizing Professional Networking Explore and Cultivate Connections with IntroBot the AI-Powered Platform

In 2019, Utkarsh Roy identified a significant gap in professional networking while building a community of over 4,000 entrepreneurs through Founders Circle, a mentoring and support group. Recognizing the need for a more effective way for professionals to connect, Roy founded Introbot in 2021, an AI-powered platform on WhatsApp designed to enhance engagement and facilitate connections at events and business communities.

Introbot, an invite-only discovery and connection platform, targets events and closed-door communities, aiming to provide a streamlined solution for professionals, business owners, and investors to connect with like-minded individuals. The platform employs a WhatsApp AI chatbot for attendees, allowing users to request specific connections and receive curated recommendations for direct connections within WhatsApp.

Roy emphasizes the limitations of traditional networking methods such as email and LinkedIn, citing low open rates and spam as hindrances to efficient business connections. Introbot prioritizes meaningful interactions over the noise of emails and content-focused social platforms, providing decision-makers with a more direct way to connect.

The platform also addresses last-mile communication by delivering important updates through WhatsApp, ensuring users stay informed about event details and announcements. Introbot focuses on precise matchmaking and insights, collecting data to identify and connect users with relevant individuals based on their needs and criteria.

Roy’s background, including interactions with AI pioneers like Ilya Sutskever and Geoffrey Hinton during his MSc in computer science at the University of Toronto, has informed the development of Introbot. The platform incorporates an AI engine that recommends connections and content based on user profiles, understanding over 10,000 keywords and creating a network graph for efficient connections.

Despite the challenges of a small team handling operations, Introbot has gained traction in the market and aims for global expansion, particularly in the United States and Europe. The startup has collaborated with notable organizations and served as the designated networking platform for events like TechSparks 2023, connecting thousands of attendees.

As Introbot experiences growth, it faces the need for operational scalability and is actively seeking professionals, including AI/ML engineers, data engineers, and operations personnel. Backed by investors like 021 Capital, Schmidt Futures, Antler India, and others, Introbot has raised approximately half a million in funding and plans to secure additional funding for future growth.

Looking ahead, the team envisions improvements to the AI engine, including the integration of Gen AI, enhanced data processing, and natural language processing capabilities to support continued growth. Introbot aims to focus on B2B events globally and diverse business communities, underscoring its commitment to fostering meaningful connections in the professional landscape.
