HABUILD: Empowering Healthy Living and Habit Formation with Yoga

In an effort to combat the common struggle of maintaining New Year’s resolutions, wellness startup Habuild organized a groundbreaking 21-day online yoga challenge throughout January. The initiative aimed to foster healthy living and habit formation, 

drawing an astounding participation of over 450,000 users from 92 countries worldwide.From January 2nd to the 22nd, individuals from diverse corners of the globe dedicated themselves to daily yoga sessions, spanning from 6:30 am to 7 pm, right from the comfort of their own homes. 

The challenge was strategically designed to inspire participants to embrace physical activity and adhere to their wellness goals without faltering midway.The pinnacle of the event came on January 12th, coinciding with what is known as “Quitters Day,” the date when many individuals typically abandon their resolutions.

 On this day, the challenge secured a prestigious Guinness World Record for the highest number of yoga participants in a single session, totaling a staggering 246,252 individuals.Saurabh Bothra, Co-founder of Habuild, emphasized the startup’s dedication to addressing the universal struggle of maintaining consistent health routines. 

“Health is the primary need and focus of our lives. However, we understand the common struggle of maintaining a consistent routine. That’s where we stepped in with our platform to carry out this challenge,” he stated.Based in Nagpur, Habuild serves as a holistic wellness platform, advocating for physical and mental well-being through practices such as yoga, meditation, and Zumba.

Founded in March 2020 by IIT alumni Saurabh Bothra, Trishala Bothra, and Anshul Agrawal, the startup originated from Saurabh Bothra’s observations during his time at IIT, where he noticed the widespread difficulty in adhering to fitness routines among his peers.

 

Habuild’s approach involves community-based programs and personalized support to facilitate the adoption of healthier lifestyles, encompassing aspects like nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness practices. Operating primarily through YouTube and Zoom, 

the startup ensures accessibility for users, with personalized journeys tracked via WhatsApp integration.Notably, Habuild champions the concept of “No-Zero Days,” urging users to engage in even the smallest forms of exercise to maintain consistency. With a focus on inclusivity and accessibility,

the platform offers beginner-friendly yoga exercises suitable for individuals of all ages, designed to activate various muscle groups and ensure a balanced fitness regimen.As Habuild continues to witness exponential growth,

plans are underway to introduce specialized yoga programs for children and targeted initiatives addressing prevalent health conditions such as diabetes, PCOD, and hypertension. With the Indian health and fitness market projected to grow significantly, Habuild stands poised to lead the charge in promoting holistic wellness and habit formation across the nation and beyond.
