Picsart launches a suite of AI-powered tools that let you generate videos, backgrounds, GIFs and more

Picsart, the photo-editing startup supported by SoftBank, is introducing a novel set of AI-driven tools tailored for both businesses and individuals. This suite, named Picsart Ignite, encompasses 20 tools crafted to simplify the creation of advertisements, social media posts, logos, and more.

Included in the suite are tools for video and image generation, GIF creation, logo design, background editing, QR code generation, and sticker creation. A noteworthy addition is the “AI Expand” feature, allowing users to enhance images with additional details using AI prompts. Another feature, “AI Object Remove in Video,” enables the removal of unwanted objects, ensuring distraction-free videos.

The “AI Style Transfer” feature permits the application of artistic styles to visuals, while the “AI Avatar” tool generates realistic avatars suitable for business portraits. For a touch of playfulness, there’s also an “AI Avatar – For couples and pets” tool, enabling users to transform themselves and their partners into superheroes or elevate their pets to royalty.

These new tools complement Picsart’s existing AI-powered toolkit, including AI Writer, AI Replace, and AI Image Generator, which generates over 2 million images daily.

Hovhannes Avoyan, founder and CEO of Picsart, expressed the company’s belief in everyone’s creative potential, emphasizing the suite’s aim to spark creativity and transform ideas into visually stunning content for various purposes.

Picsart Ignite is now accessible to all users on Picsart’s web, iOS, and Android platforms.

This launch aligns with a broader trend of platforms, both large and small, integrating AI tools into their services. Earlier, Canva introduced AI-powered tools, and this week, Figma incorporated generative AI features into its FigJam whiteboard tool.

Picsart has been at the forefront of AI advancements, with the release of “SketchAI” in January, an app transforming photos and drawings into digital art. The company has also expanded its focus to social collaboration, launching in-app communities, called “Spaces,” in May, providing users with dedicated areas to connect and create around shared interests.
